IPL is most effective in sessions of 3-6. Most results last for several years.
1-2 maintenance sessions could be needed periodically.
PL is considered a minimal-downtime treatment, but your skin’s response will vary depending on the area treated, your individual skin concerns, and the intensity of your treatment. Mild redness, warmth, or swelling may occur following your session and typically subsides within a 5-10 days.
When treating pigmentation, brown spots and areas of sun damage may temporarily darken before gradually fading or flaking away over the following days. This is an expected part of the treatment response.
IPL is sage for everyone, with it being most effective on lighter skin types.
It is not recommended to have IPL if you are taking Accutane, have had recent sun exposure, pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any skin infections or light sensitive issues.

The Treatment Experience

During your 20-45 minute IPL treatment, you may feel brief, warm pulses of light against the skin. Following treatment, mild redness or warmth may occur temporarily. Pigmented spots may become darker before gradually fading or flaking as the skin responds to treatment.

Treatments can be customized based on your skin concerns, treatment area and individual goals, with a series of sessions often recommended for optimal correction.
